Chain Reaction’s 4th Annual Teen Convention

Chain Reaction is hosting its fourth annual Teen Convention, taking leadership and character to the next level by giving all high school students the opportunity to learn from local leaders, participate in meaningful activities and learn skills for becoming socially responsible community members at this two-day event.

Not sure if Teen Convention is right for your teen? Taylor Busch will be a junior at Pensacola Catholic High School this fall. She fell in love with Chain Reaction after attending the convention last summer.

“Teen Convention is an amazing opportunity for teens because of how inspiring and motivating it is. When you are surrounded by that many people who are passionate about volunteering, it really makes you want to go out and make a difference, too,” she said.

Busch was so inspired that she created Dance Dash, which will be highlighted at this year’s Teen Convention, to provide teens with an exciting way to fund-raise.

Dance Dash’s objective is “Moving for more for those who have less.” The money raised will go to future volunteer projects, encouraging teens to continue making a lasting impact on the community.

The convention will be held June 27 and 28 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Pensacola State College and is open to every teen, not just members of Chain Reaction. Attending earns 16 volunteer hours needed for the Bright Futures scholarship while learning about the importance and fun of volunteerism.
