Chamber hosts BP claims seminar

The Greater Pensacola Chamber will be hosting a seminar for individuals and businesses affected by the Deep-water Horizon oil spill to simplify the claims process and answer any legal questions for those interested in seeking restoration funds.

The 2010 oil spill caused significant economic harm to Northwest Florida, along with several other Gulf Coast communities. Many victims of the oil spill are not aware that they qualify for compensation or do not want to pursue a claim because it can seem like a daunting task. The seminar will cover what qualifications are needed for BP oil spill claims and what documents are required for submission.

The seminar – which will be presented by Pensacola-based law firms Levin, Papantonio, Thomas, Mitchell, Rafferty & Proctor, P.A., and Beggs & Lane, RLLP – will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., at the Greater Pensacola Chamber, 117 W. Garden St.

Registration is free for Chamber members and $10 for the general public. Seating is limited, so visit PensacolaChamber.com/Events and register early to reserve your spot by Tuesday, Sept. 30.

The Chamber’s Seminar Series offers workshops on topics of interest to local businesses and entrepreneurs. These events also allow both partners and non-partners to network, pursue professional development and to learn about the latest industry trends.
