I have received several calls regarding this quote from yesterday’s press release….
“We are prepared to conduct a national search for a highly successful,
results-oriented tourism professional in conjunction with the Escambia
County Tourism Development Council, Escambia County Board of
Commissioners and tourism stakeholders,” said Hizer.
To clarify, I have no intent to begin a permanent search at this time. The question on what future role the TDC and the County would like for the chamber to play in tourism promotion must first be resolved.
