Sixteen months after she declared that the Escambia County Commission’s 401a retirement was illegal, Clerk Pam Childers will have to explain her decisions in a deposition that is scheduled to last seven hours.
The BCC’s attorney, Troy Rafferty of the Levin Papantonio Rafferty law firm, said on Friday’s “Real News with Rick Outzen,”We’re finally, hopefully going to get the taxpayers some answers as to why she’s continuing this political vendetta against these commissioners and make her answer some tough questions about why she’s doing what she’s doing.”
He continued, “She claims she’s the watchdog of the taxpayers’ money. I think we need somebody watching the watchdog. I’d like to know, who’s doing that?”
I talked to Rafferty yesterday afternoon, and he shared that his team had been working all weekend. finalizing their deposition strategy.
