City Hall Food Truck program starts Thursday

The city of Pensacola announced today that food trucks will be parked at the corner of the City Hall parking lot at the intersection of Spring and Main streets on Thursday, Jan. 7.

According to the press announcement, the food truck program, an initiative in partnership with Pensacola Cooks Kitchen done “under Mayor Hayward’s authority, is a gesture of good faith on his support for food truck owners and supporters.”

The first trucks will be for Breakfast (7-9 am): Coffee Truck; Lunch (11 am-3 pm): Rolling Embers, Cajun Meat Train, Busy Bee; and Dinner (5-8 pm): Hip Pocket, Cajun Meat Train. The mayor will hold a media event at 11 a.m.

The weather forecast for Thursday is partly cloudy in the morning, giving way to rain in the afternoon. Chance of rain 80 percent. High 64 degrees.

A special Facebook page has been setup memorializing the event – “Food Trucks at City Hall.”
