The current Pensacola City Council will hold the city government hostage for 20 more days. Jack Nobles, Mike DeSorbo and Marty Donovan will ram as much as possible down our throats as possible. It’s as if asst. City Manager Robert Payne has a wish list and the “Three Amigos” want to make it happen before they step down on Jan. 12, 2009.
They gave Halcorp a new lease at the Port of Pensacola. They leased valuable land at the Pensacola Airport for 50 years. Today they will vote on a frozen chicken storage lease at the Port that will extend the current contract through 2022.
None of these contracts are really that time sensitive. All are binding future councils well beyond the Amigos last 20 days.
Where are Charlie Fairchild, Bryon Keelser and the boys on these contracts? They fixate on Quint Studer and the Community Maritime Park while worse deals are being done under their noses.
