City of Pensacola has different rules for Tanyards

Inweekly has asked other contractors about how they handle erosion, dust and water run-off from their projects.

Contractors are required to submit a Stormwater Pollution and Prevention Plan (also known as erosion control plan). The plan must be submitted to the City of Pensacola prior to commencement of the project. The City must approve the plan and regularly inspect the site for compliance.

Rain events can trigger reporting requirements. Documentation is kept on site for inspection by authorities as is required by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) handbook.

City Administrator Eric Olson and City Engineer Derek Owens know this.
