City seeks input on

The Miraflores Burial Ground Study Community Advisory Group and the City of Pensacola are seeking the public’s input on the Miraflores Burial Ground Study, with multiple opportunities to provide input.

Members of the community are encouraged to share any information and input about Miraflores Park, including personal memories, family stories, documents, photographs, or anything related to Miraflores Park (formerly known as Havana Square).

The next meeting of the Miraflores Burial Ground Study Community Advisory Group has been scheduled for Friday, May 19 at 9 a.m. in the Hagler-Mason Conference Room, located on the second floor of City Hall at 222 W. Main St.

The Miraflores Burial Ground Study Community Advisory Group will operate in the Sunshine (Florida Statute 286.011), with all meetings publicly advertised, open to the public, and minutes taken.

Mayor D.C. Reeves selected 10 individuals to serve as the Miraflores Burial Ground Study Community Advisory Group, which will assist the City of Pensacola in the assessment and future commemoration of Miraflores Park. To view the list of Community Advisory Group members, click here.

The City of Pensacola will be working with the Community Advisory Group, partners and community stakeholders as the study moves forward and research continues at the site.
