Press Release: While the criminal investigation remains active and our restorative efforts progress significantly from the March 16 network security incident, the City of Pensacola will be starting the process of notification and support for employees and citizens in case of a data impact.
- While there has not been confirmation that specific data has been compromised, the city can determine that a breach is possible. Our team and external experts continue to work diligently on the matter.
In order to remain proactive in both notification and action, the city will begin the process similar to the 2019 incident that will extend free credit monitoring services, a toll-free help line and USPS mail notifications. These services will be made available in the coming days.
We have taken every opportunity to keep our city employees, customers and citizens informed through every step of this incident. We will continue to do so. The city will provide more information and updates on the Network Security Incident as soon as it is available.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work through this Network Security Incident.
