Climate Rally rescheduled due to climate

Pensacola Climate Rally rescheduled to May 6

What: Pensacola Climate Rally

Where: Plaza de Luna, 900 S. Palafox St.

When: Saturday May 6, 4 p.m – 6 p.m.

PENSACOLA—Join with local students, advocates and musicians as we embrace climate action and a better future for our community. Inspired by our youth but including all ages, we will gather for music, art, and inspiring words from local leaders.

Speakers include Pensacola City Councilwoman Jennifer Brahier, Pastor Timothy Grier, former Congressional candidate Hilary Turner and a number of local youth. Pensacola singer-songwriter Katie Dineen performs throughout the event.

Pensacola is facing a climate emergency as rising seas, stronger storms and extreme heat stress our community. The Pensacola City Council and mayor were given recommendations from the city’s climate task force in November, 2018, and have made some progress. But much, much more needs to be done to adapt and mitigate for the changing climate.

The Pensacola Climate Rally is a joint project of 350 Pensacola, Healthy Gulf and Climate Together Pensacola. For more information: christian@healthygulf.org
