Clinton more aggressive about Bush administration

clintonI’m in Las Vegas for a little R&R. Heard former President Bill Clinton speak yesterday at the luncheon. His tone was more aggressive towards the Bush administration than he was earlier this summer when IN editor Duwayne Escobedo and I heard him speak at the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies convention (Little Rock and Back Again ).

Clinton still spoke about the defining characteristic of this century being interdependancy. “We can’t boycott, bomb or beat up everybody who disagrees with us.”

He believes the White House is not controlled by philosophical conservatives, but by conservative idealogues. Difference? The philosphical conversatives are open to ideas and discussion. The idealogues already know all the answers and don’t care about the facts.

Would love to see George Bush and Clinton in a debate.

“It’s okay to think outside the facts, but we can’t think outside the facts.”
