The Miramar, Fla. city council chose Kathleen Woods-Richardson, former director of Miami-Dade County’s Public Works and Waste Management Department where she oversaw more than 1,730 employees and managed a budget of $629 million. The vote was 3-2 vote. The other two votes went for Allyson Love, former assistant city manager and interim city manager in Fort Lauderdale.
Former Pensacola Community Services Director Thaddeus Cohen has been a finalist for the job, which advertised a salary of $180,000 to $225,000, not including benefits.
