City Council decided to not do anything about hiring a firm regarding the BP disaster until County makes its decision on whether to get outside counsel regarding possible litigation against BP. Actual costs are being handled through the BP claims process, but there is concern about tax revenue losses, especially if the property values decline. Since there is a possibility that the council may issue a request for qualifications at a future date, the council voted to not hear the Levin firm presentation.
