Comparing City of Pensacola murder rate with other Florida cities

In 2015, the Pensacola Police Department reported four murders. The City’s murder rate ranked 16th among all Florida cities and third among cities with populations between 50,000-60,000 people.

Through Tuesday, Oct. 25, PPD has reported seven murders for 2016, which may place the City at the top of the cities in our population bracket and in the top eight for the entire state.
