Complaint against GSI Recycling

Here is the lawsuit that was filed today against GSI Recycling. Can you imagine how bad this would have been if Friendship Missionary had actually bought the school property or if Habitat for Humanity had tried to build a subdivision next to this facility? Only in Escambia County can such a facility exist and expand in a residential neighborhood.

But this is a poor, predominately black neighborhood so the county commission turns a blind-eye. As one neighbor told me today, “Nobody gives a flip about us. Our county gave them a permit and we’re powerless to do anything about it. Rich get richer, poor get poorer.”
