Spoke with Commissioner Grover Robinson last yesterday afternoon. He said he has also heard from other locals laid off by the clean-up subcontractor Southern Cat (based in Lynn Haven) which is tied to Southern Catastrophic Services, Inc. out of Panama City. The ccounty commission had closed the loophole that allowed the out-of-town workers to use hotel room as their residences.
The county commission today will be discussing that the clean-up workers must live in the county an entire year to qualify as county residents.
