County property values drop more than city

I realize I’m trailing the PNJ on releasing this information, but I’ve been working on the Valentino emails.

According to County Budget Director Amy Lovoy:

“Based on the Property Appraiser’s estimate, the County’s property taxes will be about $6.5 million less than in the current year. This is a reduction from $113.5 million to $107 million. This combined with the millage rollback last year based on one-time revenues will create an overall General Fund reduction of $17.1 million.”
