County Purchasing hosting workshop

The Escambia County Office of Purchasing is excited to host a free workshop for local businesses in partnership with the Gulf Coast Minority Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pensacola. The workshop will take place Wednesday, June 29 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Pensacola City Hall in the Hagler-Mason Conference Room, 222 W. Main St. No registration is required to attend.

During the workshop, attendees will learn key steps for registering as a preferred vendor, procedures for bidding and procurement, best practices to present a product or service, and future businesses opportunities with your local government. The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session along with opportunities for networking. Presentations will be given by Jeffrey Lovingood, Escambia County; and Dedria Lunderman, City of Pensacola.

“The purpose of this workshop is to educate our business community on the process of doing business with local governments,” said Escambia County Deputy Purchasing Manager Jeffrey Lovingood. “Many people don’t know it’s free to register as a vendor with Escambia County. We have a fantastic business climate in Escambia County, and we hope everyone who can attend will take advantage of the workshop.”
