Crist bashing part of GOP debate (corrected)


You have to love how Florida Republicans debate. They have to find someone to bash so that they can deflect any attention on their personal records. Rick Scott ran against Barack Obama, not Alex Sink, and was very successful.

The same thing is happening the GOP U.S. Senate race as Republicans fight for the right to run against incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson. At the first GOP Senate debate, Nelson wasn’t the target. It was former Gov. Charlie Crist.

Why? Because Senate President Mike Haridopolos and former state Rep. Adam Hasner need to take out their opponent, George LeMieux, Crist’s former chief of staff, campaign manager and longtime friend who was appointed to the U.S. Senate to complete Bob Mel Martinez’s term.
