Recycling Reboot

ECUA plans to resume full operations of the Materials Recycling Facility on Monday, June 12, after a successful soft start this week.

Why this matters: The City of Pensacola Sanitation Services Department uses ECUA’s recycling facility to process recyclable materials from City Sanitation customers. Due to a staffing shortage at ECUA’s facility, recycling for City of Pensacola Sanitation customers has been temporarily limited to cardboard only since mid-April.

Dig Deeper: Maybe immigrant workers could have helped with the staffing shortage. Just a thought.

Gaetz Avoids Crowds

Loveable, punchable Congressman Matt Gaetz will host a Legislative Update at 5:30 p.m.  tonight in Jay at Scott’s Outdoors – think Bass Pro Shop but much, much smaller.

Gaetz is expected to provide an update on his work in Washington and in Florida’s First Congressional District, along with answering questions from the community – about lures and shotguns.
