Congressman Matt Gaetz will host a ‘Never Surrender’ rally and prayer vigil to honor former President Donald Trump today at 5 p.m. at Marcus Point Baptist Church, 6205 North W Street.
The announcement:
“Join Congressman Matt Gaetz to show your support and pray for President Donald J. Trump following the Saturday assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania,”
Florida Politics reports that his office announced the rally on Sunday and said the event would last about an hour and a half.
On Saturday, after the assassination attempt, Rep. Gaetz posted on X:
@RepMattGaetz: President Trump is determined to save this country from the path of ruin that we are on. No politician in our country’s history has ever faced these kinds of efforts to stop him. They tried to impeach him. They are trying to imprison him. Now, they have tried to assassinate him. Every time they do this, the American people become more committed to the vision for the country that he has for our success and our prosperity.
