Bad News
From NOAA Hurricane Center: There is a low pressure system in Gulf that may develop into tropical storm.
A broad area of low pressure over the northwestern Caribbean Sea near the northeastern coast of Honduras is producing disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity.
Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development of this system during the next several days, and a tropical depression is likely to form late this weekend or early next week while moving generally northward over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and eastern Gulf of Mexico.
Interests in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, western Cuba, and Florida should monitor the progress of this system.

Blue Wahoos 2024 Home Schedule
The Blue Wahoos will begin their 12th season in Pensacola on Friday, April 5 when they welcome the Mississippi Braves, Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, to Admiral Fetterman Field at Blue Wahoos Stadium. It marks the first of 18 games between the Braves and Blue Wahoos in Pensacola.
All seven Southern League teams will make at least one visit to Blue Wahoos Stadium, with North Division opponents Rocket City (4/16-4/21), Birmingham (5/7-5/12), Tennessee (5/21-5/26) and Chattanooga (6/18-6/23) making one trip each. In addition to Mississippi, South Division foes Montgomery (15 games) and Biloxi (12 games) will be Pensacola’s most frequent opponents.
The Blue Wahoos will be home for Mother’s Day (May 12), Memorial Day weekend (May 24-26) and Labor Day weekend (August 30-September 1). The Blue Wahoos will also play three games at home July 1-3 against Montgomery, allowing Blue Wahoos Stadium to host a July 4 event while the team is on the road.
