The PNJ caught up with my reporting on the effort to evict homeless families from Jones Swamp. The area has been used for years as a place where families could camp while children attended school and parents worked. Missing from the article are any recommendations or help from Opening Door, which runs the Continuum of Care that is responsible for reducing homelessness.

The buzz I’m hearing is the victim of Sunday morning’s shooting on South Palafox was also homeless. I hope to get more details from Mayor Reeves either during his radio interview this morning or at his 10 a.m. presser.
