Presentations
The board will have presentations from Legal Services of North Florida and Youth Left Behind. The Trust staff provided no information on the reimbursements made to these companies, or any status reports received.
In December 2022, the board approved paying Legal Services of North Florida up to $617,034 to provide expanded representation for children in court hearings and administrative hearings.
- Its proposal stated it would use the funds to represent an additional 70 children annually to improve their stability and likelihood of reaching permanency. LSNF agreed to provide legal assistance in education issues to 90 children.
In September 2023, Youth Left Behind Corp was awarded $93,982 for its After-School Peer Empowerment Program, which will serve children in grades 6-12 living in the Silurian Pond Apartments in the 32505 ZIP code.
- The 8-week program would be offered one day a week to any youth residing in the apartment complex and neighborhoods nearby. The goal was 123 underserved minority children.

Contract Renewal
