Dash Through the Past

The Florida Public Archaeology Network (FPAN) will host a run/walk scavenger hunt race on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  The race will go through downtown Pensacola where teams of two or individuals compete over a two-mile course for prizes donated by local sponsors.

Each participant will receive a map and a list of challenges. There is no set route, so you can complete the challenges in any order you’d like within two hours. Prizes are awarded based on best time.

The race will begin and end at the FPAN Coordinating Center at 207 E. Main St. There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee, which includes a reusable aluminum water bottle.

After the race, stay for the FPAN’s 5th Annual Archaeology Month Celebration Event and enjoy various activities.

For more information on the event, contact Mike Thomin at 595-0050 Ext. 107
