“You saw Nikki Haley last night taking a very interesting turn that I have never seen in Republican politics ever, where she was campaigning to women specifically, not Moms for Liberty,” Wiggins said.
“She was campaigning toward moderate women. And what’s interesting about that is at The Lincoln Project that is one of the groups that we’re looking at this cycle because these are the people who are going to be moving the needle.”
She explained, “I mean, we’ve seen it on the abortion issue, which Nikki Haley took a pretty moderate take on for somebody who is very pro-life. she is writing the Margot Robbie Barbie/Taylor Swift train that came through this country and has carried the economy on its back for the past several months. And I think it’s a very, very smart play.”
- However, Wiggins added, “Is it going to boost her with Republicans? Absolutely not. It was a great play for a general election, and she’s not going to make it there.”
Meanwhile
Gov. Ron Desantis is trying to raise campaign funds off his debate performance.
He wrote:
The first Republican primary debate was an opportunity for the nation to hear directly from their future President. To earn YOUR support, I stood up, weathered the attacks, and now I know that we are one step closer to stopping the decline of this country.
DeSantis wasn’t attacked – unless you consider ignoring him an attack.
