Here is a photo from inside the Media Filing Center. We sat with reporters from Reuters, CBS News, MSNBC, ABC and the traveling media with both the McCain and Obama campaigns. The huge tv screens that you see in the picture are broadcasting the debate live in HD. Every seat had telephone and internet hook-up. Every 15 minutes Ole Miss staff brought us transcripts of what had been said.
Around the room were cubicles for the tv media to interview Congressmen, Senators and political pundits like Trent Lott and Rudy Guiliani.
The prevaling thought in the tent was that McCain did better than expected; Obama was too civil; both sides got their licks in.
