DeLuna Fest is releasing the line up on Tuesday, May 31 with a ticket giveaway scavenger hunt and party. The DeLuna Fest Lineup Release “Mission for the Musicians†is a scavenger hunt that will take place in Downtown Pensacola.
This hunt will result in the big release for the artist lineup of DeLuna Fest 2011. Local businesses in Downtown Pensacola will participate in the “Mission for the Musicians†by providing clues to participants (Teams of up to 5) that lead them to the grand revealing of the DeLuna Fest lineup. The starting point will be announced closer to the hunt. The ending point will be at Seville Quarter’s Phineas Phogg’s.
The hunt will take place on May 31, 2011 with registration starting at 5 pm and ending at 6 pm, when the hunt will kick off. Participants must have team names and I.D.s ready at registration. Participants of the hunt who are under 21 will be marked with an X before the event starts.
Each team must race around Downtown Pensacola, visiting 10 local businesses to gain “clues†to the next clue location. Along their trip, your team will participate in “fun obstacles†to gain their next clue (make up a silly dance, take a picture with a bartender, sing a song…etc). Each new clue will hold the name of five bands in the DeLuna Fest lineup. There will be different routes given to different teams but all teams will visit the same ten locations.
At the end of the dash, participants will have 10 cards and will know the names of 50 bands in the 2011 DeLuna Fest lineup. The first team to finish with all 10 clues gets two tickets per person. There will be prizes for other teams during the event that will include tee shirts, coozies, drink specials, etc.
To gain entry into the after party, participants must have all ten cards from the downtown Pensacola establishments. If participants do not have all 10 cards they will have to wait to get into the DeLuna release party until 9:30 with a small cover charge.
During the after party, all bands playing at DeLuna Fest will be displayed on a large billboard inside Phineas Phogg’s. Two locals bands, Eerie Rockwell and Mr. Fahrenheit will be providing the entertainment for this event. They will play original songs as well as covers of songs by artists on the DeLuna Fest lineup.
Participation is free for the scavenger hunt with a valid e-mail address.
