The voter turnout for Escambia County Democrats is much weaker than it was four years ago – down nearly five percentage points when compared to the 2022 figures.
The statewide Democratic candidates – primarily Val Demings (U.S. Senate) and Charlie Crist (Governor) have failed to excite the voters as much as Bill Nelson (vs. Rick Scott) and Andrew Gillum (vs. Ron DeSantis) did in 2018.
