Deputies catch tree-branch robber

Have you heard the one about the man who walked into a convenience store with a tree branch…

Press Release: While Escambia County deputies were working proactive patrol they were flagged down about a robbery which was occurring. Deputies surrounded the gas station, and then took the suspect into custody without incident.

During the investigation it was determined that Christopher Faulkner, 42, of Pensacola entered the store carrying a large tree branch. Faulkner then struck the clerk in the head with the branch and bought a cigar. After the clerk rang up the cigar he told the clerk to open the cash drawer. The clerk then struck Faulkner in the nose with her fist and ran out of the store. Faulkner then smashed the cash register on the ground while deputies arrived.

Faulkner was charged with Aggravated Battery person uses deadly weapon, criminal mischief, robbery with deadly weapon. Faulkner has a total bond of $25,000.

Unfortunately the Cantonment Cow Strangler is still on the loose. There is no known connection between the tree-branch robber, the cow strangulation and the diismissal of Linda Lawrence from WBXM….yet
