Pensacola is about to get some well-deserved attention.
The Florida Association of the American Institute of Architects (AIA Florida) is naming both the T.T. Wentworth, Jr. Florida State Museum and the Navy Federal Credit Union Brian L. McDonnell Center at Heritage Oaks to their list of Top 100 Buildings and Places in Florida.
As part of the celebrations AIA Florida has launched “Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places†competition.
Beginning March 13, AIA Florida will ask the public to rank the nominated buildings and select the top building in Florida by voting online at aiafltop100.org. The voting period will be thru April 6, with no limitations of votes.
The results of the competition will be announced in April. AIA will also develop a statewide mobile tour of the top 100 buildings for Florida residents and visitors to download.
