Greg Rettig, who organized the grassroots effort to prevent Dollar General from building a store on Spanish Trail and Summit Blvd, posted on his Facebook page thaat he received the following email from Sherry Morris, the City’s Planning Director, last night: “My understanding as of now is that the C-1 request has been rescinded, but they might want to proceed next month with a request for R-NC (more restrictive zoning designation than C-1). I’ll confirm and let you know.”
