Don’t Miss Tuesday’s SEC Women’s Soccer Action in Pensacola

Following an electrifying opening weekend of upsets and last-second drama, the SEC Women’s Soccer Tournament continues today with four can’t-miss matchups at Ashton Brosnaham Park. Ray Palmer, CEO and President of Pensacola Sports, is urging the community to come out and support what he calls some of the best athletic competition the region will see all year.

Background: Sunday’s opening games delivered the unexpected excitement that makes tournament soccer so compelling. Alabama upset a strong South Carolina team, while LSU survived a furious Auburn comeback attempt in a thrilling finish. Mississippi State and Kentucky won the other matches.

Game Schedule

#2 Vanderbilt vs. #10 Alabama, 11:30 a.m.

#3 Georgia vs. #6 Kentucky, 2 p.m.

#1 Arkansas vs. #8 Mississippi State, 4:30 p.m.

#4 Tennessee vs. #5 LSU, 7 p.m.

Tuesday’s Double-Header Format

One of the tournament’s best features is the session pass system, which gives fans two games for the price of one ticket. The first session begins at 11:30 a.m. with Vanderbilt facing Alabama, followed by Georgia versus Kentucky. “Alabama has as many fans as any college in the region in our community. So I anticipate that for 11:30 a.m. to have a nice crowd,” Palmer said.

The afternoon session starts at 4:30 p.m. and features Mississippi State taking on top-ranked Arkansas, followed by what Palmer calls a “barn burner” between Tennessee and LSU. “LSU fans, they show well and they will show up,” he noted, adding that Tennessee comes in as the number four seed facing a confident LSU squad.

Easy Ticket Access and Perfect Weather

Getting tickets couldn’t be simpler. “You can buy a session pass right there at the gate or you can buy it online, and it’ll be on your phone,” Palmer explained. The venue accepts both card and cash payments on-site.

With soccer-perfect weather expected and the quality of play on display, Palmer encourages everyone to experience championship-level women’s soccer. “These girls are absolutely spectacular,” he said, praising the athletes’ ball control and field awareness.

Whether you catch the morning session during lunch or spend the whole day at the park, Tuesday’s games promise the same excitement that had Auburn nearly pulling off a comeback in the tournament’s opening night.
