Donut Strike for Manna

Local First Responders Going on a “Donut Strike” to Feed Neighbors in Need

What: Manna will kick off the 2024 Donut Strike for Manna – a food and funds drive where local first responders strike against their beloved donuts until thousands of pounds of food has been raised for Manna. Once their goal has been reached, our local first responders will return to shamelessly devouring the glazed goodness that all first responders know and love.

When: Wednesday, June 26, at 9 a.m.

Where: PenAir Credit Union, Back Campus Building, 9021 Westside Drive, Pensacola, FL 32514

Who: Leaders and representatives from Escambia County Fire Rescue, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, Gulf Breeze Police Department, Gulf Breeze Fire Rescue, Midway Fire District, Pace Fire Rescue District, Pensacola Fire Department, Pensacola Police Department, J’s Bakery, Red Iron Design House, Hanto and Clarke General Contractors, PenAir Credit Union, and Manna will be present for interviews.

Why: Tonight, 1 in 5 children will go to bed hungry in our community. Local first responders are raising donations to support the work and mission of Manna during the summer when giving is down but need increases.
