ECAT seeks input on future service

Escambia County, in coordination with Escambia County Area Transit, has launched a major update to the county’s 10-year Transit Development Plan. The plan is referred to as “Connections 2026: Moving Escambia Forward.”

The ECAT update will serve as a guide for the future of public transportation in Escambia County from 2017–2026. It represents the transit agency’s vision to promote growth and improvement in Escambia County and the region over the next decade.

Public participation is an important part of the process, and numerous activities have been planned to support Connections 2026, including an on-board bus survey, stakeholder interviews, focus group discussions, public workshops and grassroots outreach events.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend one of the following two public workshops to provide input on existing and future transit services. Staff and consultants will be available at these workshops to provide information, answer questions and take comments.
