ECSD 2016 Teacher Fair set for Feb. 27

Escambia County School District is hosting a Teacher Fair on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Booker T. Washington High School. Registration begins at 8:30 in the auditorium. Speakers begin at 9 a.m., followed by break-out sessions from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The break-out sessions will be presented in a conference format about:

1. What teachers from other counties/states need to know about applying to ECSD.
2. What others need to know about how to become a certified teacher in Florida.
3. Why Escambia County is a fantastic place to live and work.
4. What ECSD does to support first year teachers.
5. How to decide which subject and grade level would fit your skill set.
6. How to navigate the online application and access information about required state certification exams.
7. How people working in an occupation can become teachers in a related career academy to help prepare a future workforce in their career pathway.

The goal of this Teacher Fair is to help interested, future teachers become eligible for hire in the upcoming school year.
