Press Release: Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan presented staff with a certificate acknowledging The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office being awarded full re-accredited status by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA). The presentation was made June 30 at the Florida Accreditation Conference in Bonita Springs, Florida.
This effort required the agency to comply with 247 standards that provide direction and proven success within the law enforcement community.
The accreditation process assisted the agency in the development of policies, directives, and procedures that have been tested and proven by state and national standards.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has been recognized by this prestigious organization as professionals in our administering of services to the citizens of Escambia County.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is now accredited by CFA, Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission (FCAC), and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC).
Accreditation is another achievement in the ECSO goal to provide the best and most innovative methods of law enforcement services to citizens of Escambia County. “Once again, the men and women of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office have proven their dedication to their profession,†Sheriff Morgan said, “I couldn’t be prouder of our accreditation team and the entire Sheriff’s Office.â€
