Education is the target for state budget proposals

In Escambia County, County Administrator Randy Oliver has got his board eyeing the Sheriff David Morgan’s budget as a way to balance their budget.

In Tallahassee, Education is the target. Gov. Scott wants to cut it 10 percent. The Florida House wants to cut it 7.7 percent, or a drop of $524.50 per student. The State Senate wants it cut 6.57 percent, a drop of $447.25 in per-student.
