As part of an ongoing series of reports on local education, the Studer Community Institute is hosting a town hall meeting that BlabTV will broadcast live tonight at 8 p.m.

The Education Town Hall With Mollye Barrows, presented by Cox Communications and sponsored in part by Hill-Kelly Dodge, also will steam live on BlabTV.com.

Mollye Barrows, a Studer Community Institute associate and former WEAR anchor and reporter, will serve as the moderator for the town hall.

“At the Studer Community Institute we’ve reported a lot on the state of education in the Pensacola area,” said Barrows. “The town hall is a chance for community leaders to get together to discuss, deliberate, and hopefully decide on some ways that we can all work to improve educational outcomes for students of all ages.”

The town hall will focus on three key areas of education: early learning, workforce readiness, and poverty.
