Steve Stroberger won the GOP Commission primary for the District 1 county commission seat, defeating two-term incumbent Jeff Bergosh by 1,533 votes, 4,793 to 3,260. Perennial also-ran Jesse Casey came in a distant third with 795 votes.

 Mail  Early  Day  Total
Jeff Bergosh     1,044     1,031         1,185         3,260
Jesse E. Casey        208        274            313            795
Steve Stroberger        812     1,686         2,295         4,793

Bergosh received the most votes by mail, 1,044, which gave him a 232-vote lead over the challenger. However, Stroberger took the lead in the Early Voting period with 1,686, which moved him ahead of Bergosh by 423 votes. On election day, Stroberger crushed the incumbent by an almost 2-to-1 margin.

  • The News Journal published four articles on Bergosh and one viewpoint endorsing his opponent in August. The first article ran three days before Early Voting started, and the last one, regarding a letter from County Clerk Pam Childers refusing to pay legal fees tied to his texts, was published on election day. Childers endorsed and campaigned for Stroberger.

In the District 4 commission race, Ashlee Hofberger won the GOP primary, 418 votes more than second-place Walker Wilson and 670 more than Buck Mitchell.

Mail Early Day Total
Ashlee Hofberger        833        865         1,455         3,153
Buck Mitchell        669        697         1,117         2,483
Walker Wilson        856        689         1,190         2,735

Wilson had a narrow 23-vote lead over Hofberger in the votes by mail but saw it disappear in the Early Voting period when Hofberger (865 votes) and Mitchell (697 votes) received more than his 689 votes. He went into election day trailing by only 153 votes. Hofberger had a better ground game, received 1,455 votes to his 1,190, and walked away with the victory. She will face Democrat Ron Helms in November.

  1. Fraudulent numbers have been released in ECUA District 3, they are not believable, when the universal primary numbers are as follows, these results have not been certified, those ECUA District 3 “alleged results” will not be certified.

There were 6,318 votes cast in the Republican primary in County District 2 in 2018 and 9,753 votes cast in the non-partisan first round primary for School Board, where there was no Democratic primary in that race.

To claim that only 5,928 votes were cast in a universal primary for ECUA District 3 is beyond ludicrous, when one knows how elections function.

There were 2,577 votes cast in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate in County Commission District 3.

There were 3,909 votes cast in the Democratic primary for U.S. Senate in County Commission District 3.

That is 6,486 votes reported cast in County District 3 in either Senatorial primary, we are asked to believe that 5,928 votes were cast in a universal primary election for ECUA District 3.

2,570 votes for County Commission District 3 are reported at this time in the Republican congressional primary for U.S. House of Representatives District 1, this is not believable.

7,700 votes were counted thus far with these results, in the precincts consisting of ECUA District 1 in the U.S. Senate race, GOP primary,. The results in my election do not pass the this is to be believed test

8848 reported for County Commission in said district, and that is closed GOP primary.

11,366 votes were cast in ECUA District 1 in a universal primary contest, it is not believable District 3 had less votes in a UPC than closed primaries.

I will be filing litigation, have relayed information to Moody and Madden all day, requested election audits by Childers and Patronis, I am a man of law, not crime, this is what middle class mothers want of their children.
