There are two emails that are circulating around Pensacola that attack Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama. One declares that he is a closet Muslim – which in some people’s eyes makes him an enemy of the U.S. The email asserts Obama’s middle name is Mohammed.
The other one attacks Obama’s church – Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago – claiming that it is a racist church that only lets blacks worship there.
Both play to the racial and religious bias of some parts of the South.
I thought Karl Rove wasn’t involved in this election.
