Emerald Coast Tours Downtown

Downtown Pensacola just got a little cooler. As downtown adds more lively retail to the area, Emerald Coast Tours is ready to help you explore.

Emerald Coast Tours has been open since March 1 and offers a simple and easy way to bike around town.  To rent a bike for two hours is $15, for 24 hours, $30 and for a week, $100. Locks and helmets are included. There are also toddler trailers. For out-of-towners, you can have the bike delivered to your hotel for no extra charge.

Nick Schuck, owner of Emerald Coast Tours, is a downtown resident and bike enthusiast. He believes these biking tours will be an asset to this community.

“I wanted to start Emerald Coast Tours because my favorite thing to do when I’m on vacation is to rent bikes and explore,” he said. “It’s also my favorite thing to do on the weekends. I live downtown and still love every time I get to go for a bike ride. I saw a void in our downtown for this particular service. I also think Pensacola has a fascinating history that is often times under appreciated. This just gives tourists and locals another way to experience downtown Pensacola.”

These explorations are not just for tourist – even locals will learn something new.

“Our experienced guides will be able to give local knowledge on the best places to eat, drink or take kids – places that are oftentimes overlooked by tourists and sometimes even locals,” Schuck said. “You’d be surprised by how many people have grown up in Pensacola and have never had a Blue Dot burger or eaten at the Happy Pig.”

“Our guides will be able to provide a private orientation to Pensacola by customizing the tours to the guests,” Schuck said. “It will be more personal to get a first-hand recommendation to a vegan restaurant like Sluggo’s or End of the Line as opposed to relying on reviews on Yelp or Tripadvisor.”

Schuck hopes the tours will garner a deeper appreciation for Pensacola from tourists and locals. As well as offering a fun experience downtown.

“I always here from locals that there isn’t enough to do downtown and we just want to offer another option, something different,” he said. “This is a great way to spend a day, maybe take someone out on a date or do something memorable for their birthday. Who doesn’t like to go for a bike ride? And in my opinion, there isn’t a more perfect city for doing so.”

Book your tour by going to emeraldcoasttours.net or call 417-9292. This Friday, Emerald Coast Tours is having their first Historic Walking Pub Tour. Tickets are $35 and include four drinks and admission to Seville after the tour. Ice Flyer tickets will also be up for grabs.
