End lame duck councils

The Pensacola Charter Review Commission needs to move up the timeline for when a new council takes office. This two-month lag time between the election and when the new members are sworn in is too long. The Escambia County Commission takes office at the next meeting after the election. The Pensacola City Council should, too.

The lame duck council has leased prime airport property and may commit the city to another long term lease at the Port of Pensacola at it’s next meeting.
