Willie Kirkland Jr., owner of Kirkland Trucking Co. and previous candidate for Escambia County School Board, District 1, has officially endorsed Walker Wilson for School Board, District 3.  Kirkland made headlines last election cycle when he pledged to donate his first year’s school board salary if elected- around $37,000- and invest it back into the community.
“I’m someone who has always wanted to simply make a difference in the lives of our children, and Walker is the same way,†Kirkland said. “By getting to know Walker and seeing the charitable work he does with his nonprofit organizations- onbikes Pensacola, Pensacola Civitan, and Pensacola Young Professionals- it became clear that he isn’t running for himself, he’s running to create change and to help the children and families of District 3.â€
