Environmentalists kicked out Mobile Unified Command

At the Escambia County Emergency Operations Center, the Emerald Coastkeeper (IN Rising Star Chassidy Hobbs) is allowed to be in the EOC. We’ve learned at BP’s Unified Command Center in Mobile yesterday Casi Calloway, the Gulf regional rep for the Waterkeeper Alliance and the Mobile Baykeeper Executive Director along with other Waterkeeper Alliance folks were escorted out of the room.

According to Hobb, the environmentalist “were not so politely escorted out after receiving approval to be there and asked to return at the press conference at 4:15. Upon arriving at press conference they were yet again escorted out even though the room was filled contractors, soap salespersons and all sorts of others. Word is she should be allowed in today to represent Gulf Keepers in Mobile Incident Command area.”

…sounds familiar.
