ESCAMBIA COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTS 2007 POLITICAL ACTION PLAN PRESENTED BY CHAIRMAN CLAY INGRAM

Escambia County Republican Party Chairman Clay Ingram presented his 2007 Political Action Plan at the February meeting of the Republican Party.

The plan calls for immediate funding of community outreach programs, internal party-building activities, and aggressive fundraising efforts. The community outreach programs are designed to take the Republican message of limited government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and traditional family values to the public through a series of events to be held at area parks. The program will make GOP officeholders and candidates more accessible to the public by making them available at Republican Party sponsored events to be spread throughout Escambia County.

The party-building and fundraising plan aims to bring high profile Republican officials such as newly-elected Republican Party General Chairman, Senator Mel Martinez, and Governor Charlie Crist to the Gulf Coast.

STATEMENT BY CHAIRMAN CLAY INGRAM ON THE ADOPTION OF THE 2007 POLITICAL ACTION PLAN: “It is exciting to see all of the Republicans in Escambia County united in a common cause. The fact that every facet of the plan was unanimously approved shows that we are ready to come together as a team and lay a strong foundation for 2008. I think the public will benefit from our outreach efforts because it will give voters more contact with GOP officeholders and candidates.”

The Escambia County Republican Executive Committee is made up of representatives from each voting precinct in Escambia County. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 7pm at Woodham High School.
