The Escambia County School District had 11 elementary schools earn A’s for the 2015 school year, plus Lincoln Park that was given special status for its A.
The top elementary schools in the county were Pensacola Beach (a charter school), N. B. Cook, Molino Park and Cordova Park. Of the four, Molino Park is the only Title 1 school with a majority of minority students.
The district had four F schools, including the Five Flags Academy that was run by Newpoint Education Partners, which is being investigated by the state attorney’s office. The other three failing schools were O. J. Semmes, Montclair and C.A. Weis.
