Escambia County loses in House redistricting

The proposed new Florida House districts have the new boundaries shifting with the population to the east. Matt “Baby” Gaetz loses south Santa Rosa County and now has all of his District 4 in Okaloosa County (Thanks, daddy). He will represent the area south of Interstate 10.

District 3 is now north Okaloosa County and Santa Rosa County (stopping at just north of Highway 98)–this will be Doug Broxson’s seat. District 2 (which will become Clay Ford’s district) includes south Santa Rosa and Escambia counties: Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola Beach, Navarre and Perdido Key. District 1 will be north Escambia County – for Clay Ingram.
