Press Release: The Escambia County Low-Cost Spay-Neuter program is returning, this time at the Pensacola Humane Society’s Barbara Grice Memorial Spay and Neuter Clinic.

Beginning September 1, Escambia County households making $35,000 or less per year will be eligible to receive discounted fees on low-cost spay/neuter surgeries. To qualify, residents must be able to show proof of Escambia County residency, and proof of a qualifying income (W-2, benefits letter, two current pay stubs), in order to be eligible for reduced pricing. Prices depend on the surgery and will range from $10 for a cat neuter to $30 for a dog spay.

The Pensacola Humane Society is a not-for-profit, no-kill shelter for homeless, neglected and abandoned cats and dogs. The Barbara Grice Memorial Spay and Neuter Clinic provides low-cost surgeries for the pets of all residents regardless of income or county of residence. Both are located at 5 North Q Street, Pensacola.

Combined with a recent grant from Florida Animal Friend this funding will make available $50,000 for spaying/neutering pets of qualified low-income families.
