Achieve Healthy Escambia continues to fail to improve health outcomes. The University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute’s County Health Rankings & Roadmaps ranked Escambia County 51 out of 67 Florida counties, putting the county among the least healthy counties in Florida (Lowest 0%-25%).
- The latest data has gotten worse than what Achieve reported last year. For example, children living in poverty have increased by 4%. The group is supposed to develop action plans, but none are posted on the website. The new data shows Escambia County has better ratios per resident doctors, dentists and mental health providers than the state, but our outcomes aren’t improving.
Baptist Hospital not leaving any medical services at its E Street campus makes even less sense if the hospital is committed to Achieve Healthy Escambia.
